BOOKING AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions apply between Villa Maritime Service AB (Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island) and the person who makes the booking, either personally or through another person, and enters into an agreement as specified in the confirmation from Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island. The Customer is referred to as the Client in the terms and conditions and other travellers are referred to as Guests. If commitments have been made verbally by the staff of Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island, these must be stated in the confirmation in order to be binding on Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island. If such information is missing, the Customer must point this out immediately so that the confirmation can be corrected. The booking/agreement may concern accommodation in the hotel studio and other products/services.

Booking for private person
To book/enter into an agreement with Hotell Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön regarding accommodation, the Customer must be 18 years of age or more. Identification takes place on arrival. Compliance with the age limit is a requirement to access the property. If the Customer does not meet the age limit upon entry to the property, the booking is deemed cancelled, with the cancellation rules in force. Minor Guests who come without parental companionship must have parental written consent. For certificates, email receptionen@villa-maritime.se Abnormal age regulations may apply.

Booking of hotel studio
The price includes the rental of the hotel studio, bedded & ready as in a normal hotel. Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island applies variable pricing. Floor plan/decor varies and bedrooms with different window sizes may exist. The number of persons in the accommodation may not exceed the number of beds in the accommodation. Extra charges apply for children or extra beds. Special requests, regarding pets or adaptation of furnishings for guests with disabilities, must be made at the time of booking. Other requests will be accommodated if possible. Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island reserves the right to change accommodation to an equivalent accommodation or upgrade until the day of arrival without notifying the Customer. Different discounts or offers cannot be combined. The basic price includes bed linen (made up and ready), towels and between cleaning approximately every 3 days and departure cleaning. Toilet paper and dishwasher tablets are included (available at reception). Breakfast is not included in the basic arrival price.

Booking of extra products/arrangements
Advance bookings of activities, events, excursions and weddings, parties, etc. must be paid before arrival. See payment terms.

Booking confirmation/invoice
Upon receipt of the booking confirmation/invoice/ payment, this must be checked so that all information is correct. It is the Customer and/or the Customer's reference that is responsible for ensuring that the information about what has been agreed is correct. Booking confirmation/invoice is normally sent via email and payment link via email. Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön should be contacted immediately if any information is incorrect, so that new, correct booking confirmation/invoice/can be sent.

 

THE FOLLOWING PAYMENT RULES APPLY: 

Invoice payment only possible for groups/companies.

Payments are made by card via a payment link that we send out by email.

 Upon receipt of the invoice via payment link, it must be checked by the Customer to ensure that all details are correct. The Customer must contact Hotel Villa Maritime immediately if anything is incorrect.

Bookings with stay in 1-3 nights paid 100% immediately (24 hours).

Bookings with stay in 4 or more nights 50% is paid in advance.

The remaining 50% is payable 30 days before the arrival date.

Final payment must be made to Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön no later than 30 days before arrival.

For bookings made less than 30 days before arrival, full payment is due immediately.

Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön does not send reminders or payment confirmations. In order to access booked accommodation, the full amount must be paid.

 

CANCELLATION/RESERVATION

Flexible - 7 days 1/1-30/4 - 2023 & 1/10-30/4 - 2024

Guests can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price of the booking upon cancellation within 7 days prior to arrival.

 

Flexible - Periodic bookings 1/5-30/9 - 2023

For bookings with a stay in 4 or more nights guests have the option to cancel free of charge up to 30 days before the arrival date with a full refund*.

Cancellations between 30 and 14 days before the arrival date will be charged 50% of the total cost.

Cancellations between 14-0 days before arrival date will be charged 100% of the total cost.

Between 30 days and 7 days before arrival, you can rebook your stay free of charge an unlimited number of times.

 

For bookings with a stay in 1-3 nights guests have the option to cancel free of charge up to 14 days before the arrival date with a full refund*.

Cancellations between 14 and 7 days before the arrival date will be charged 50% of the total cost.

Cancellations between 7-0 days before arrival date will be charged 100% of the total cost.

Between 14 days and 7 days before arrival, you can rebook your stay free of charge.

 

Please note that rebooking to another arrival date is subject to availability.

There is no limit to the number of times you can rebook.

*Payment must be made within 14 days of the date booked.

Covid-19/Diverse:

In case of travel bans or other government decisions that prevent you from taking advantage of your booking, you can always cancel with a full refund minus any cancellation/administration fees.

*Payment must be made within 14 days of the date booked.
*In case of company bookings, special conditions apply.

  • Authority submissions
    - Death, illness or accident suffered by yourself, your spouse, partner, family or fellow traveller.
    - Conscription to the armed forces or civil defence. You must be able to prove your disability with a certificate from, for example, your doctor, the authorities, your employer or your insurance company.

The reservation can also be changed to another person and the name change is then free of charge.

TIP: also check that you have good cancellation protection in your home or travel insurance, as well as if your bank card has conditions about this.

REFUND

Refunds are made 14 days after the planned stay has passed.

Cancellation at start of stay
In case of cancellation of the stay, the accommodation cost paid will not be refunded.

Cancellation - general
Cancellation must be made in writing to Hotell Villa Maritime at Marstrandsön booking department. Always provide your name, booking number and booked arrival date.

Complaint Complaint
of the hotel studio must be presented to the reception of the Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island as soon as possible, but no later than 12:00 on the day after arrival. Any faults occurring during your stay must be reported immediately to the reception. Other complaints should be referred to the reception. If no agreement can be reached, Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island will refer you to Visitas Responsibility Board or RNA.

Liability for property/damage
Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön is not responsible for leftover/lost items. Damage caused to the Customer or Guest due to demonstrated negligence by Hotel Villa Maritime on marstrandsön side will be compensated. In such cases, the customer/guest must immediately report the incident to the reception at Hotell Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön. The Customer/Guest, for its part, is liable for damage in cases where the Customer/Guest himself, or someone in its company, through negligence, caused the damage. See also "Other obligations".

WIFI
All hotel studios have WIFI. In the event of any disruption to the wifi service, no compensation will be paid as this is a free service.

Other obligations Customer/Guests
shall take good care of the hotel studio and comply with the rules, instructions and regulations in force.

  • Between 22:00 and 07:00, the customer/Guests must observe the utmost consideration and silence towards other Customers/Guests.
  • The Customer is liable for damage to the property and its fixtures if the damage has been caused by the negligence of the Customer/Guests in the Company or anyone else who is being prepared to access the property.
  • When participating in activities arranged by Hotell Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön or its organizers, sobriety applies in addition to events where alcohol is included. If we believe that the customer's/Guest's safety cannot be guaranteed due to the Customer's/Guest's drunkenness. In case of cancellation due to unreaquential terms and conditions, no refund will be made to Customer/Guest.

The customer/guests of the party are not allowed to use a music facility or other equipment in the property or directly adjacent to the property in a way that disturbs the surroundings and surrounding residents.

  • The customer/guest must comply with the regulations that apply to the hotel studio, regarding the smoking ban and possible ban on pets we have some dog rooms. Requests for dog rooms must be made at the time of booking. Any infringements will be punished. Violation of the smoking and pet bans will be charged a minimum of 3 000 SEK, maximum 30 000 SEK. The amount will be determined according to the size of the accommodation & length of stay.

cleaning
Cleaning, sheets (made & ready), towels, soap & toilet paper etc are included in the price.

Keys
All keys to the booked hotel studio must be returned upon check-out. For keys not returned, Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island will charge 800 SEK per key.

 

Breach
These General Booking Conditions form part of the agreement between the Customer and Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön. The agreement is binding and approved by the Customer with the Customer's first payment. Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön reserves the right to terminate the agreement with immediate effect if:

  • Booking conditions not met
  • The customer/guests in the party are disruptive in the hotel studio/area.
  • The customer/guests in the party commit vandalism in the hotel studio/area.
  • The hotel studio is used for unintended purposes.

In the event that the partial or final payment is not paid on time, Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island reserves the right to cancel the booking. Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island shall immediately notify the Customer/Guest of the termination of the contract in the event of a breach of contract. In case of breach of contract, the Customer and the Guests in the party must immediately move out of the hotel studio/hotel and are not entitled to recover any part of the amount paid. In the event of destruction or disruptive behaviour, Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island is entitled to damages from the Customer.

 

force majeure
If Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island - due to circumstances beyond the control of Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island - is prevented from providing the agreed service or part thereof, the Customer is offered a rebooking or a refund of the amount paid, with the exception of any days of use of the hotel studio and any additional products used. There is no entitlement to compensation for financial loss, such as useless expenditure, loss of income or loss of business. Circumstances beyond the control of Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island are considered to be those which prevent or unreasonably burden the performance of the contract: labour disputes and any other circumstance beyond the control of Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island, such as fire, natural disasters and extreme natural events, war, mobilisation or military conscription of similar magnitude, pandemic restrictions, requisition, seizure, trade and currency restrictions, riots and civil commotion, shortage of means of transport, general shortage of goods, restrictions in the supply of motive power and failure or delay in deliveries from subcontractors, caused by such reason for exemption. In the event of an impediment as referred to in the previous paragraphs, Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island may terminate the agreement by promptly notifying the Customer that Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrand Island is withdrawing from the agreement.

Coronavirus information (Covid-19)

The Public Health Agency of Sweden has overall national responsibility for protection against communicable diseases, including the Coronavirus. Hotel Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön follows the recommendations of swedish authorities and we encourage our guests to follow the information they provide.

Regular cancellation and rebooking policies apply. In the event of new rules from Swedish authorities that affect travel to Hotell Villa Maritime on Marstrandsön, we will share new information.
